Dhamaal is the story about four friends- Deshbandhu Roy (Ritesh Deshmukh) who believed that he was the greatest detective, Manav Shrivastava (Javed Jaffrey), the biggest idiot in the world who’s blissfully unaware of it, his elder brother, Aditya Shrivastava aka Adi (Arshad Warsi) who knew half about everything under the sun, and to top it all Boman Contractor (Ashish Chaudhry), afraid of everyone and everything, especially his father Nari Contractor (Asrani).

These four lovable idiots live and work together; their idea of working is small time con jobs. Not regular office job or business. A tale of their Fortune and Misfortune begins on one occasion, when they come to know of a hidden treasure and Kabir Nayak (Sanjay Dutt), the police inspector, is hot on their tails. The double, triple, quadruple cross starts to pile up, as each one of them tries to find the treasure for themselves.

All five are thrown into hilarious life threatening situations that has the audience in side splitting laughter and guessing – Who will get it first?
