Founded in 1962, Shemaroo laid its footprints as a book circulating library in Mumbai. Soon we went ahead to pioneer and revolutionise the video industry. We became the name synonymous with television,video, flim production, online editing, stunning music videos, albums, promos, serials programming, home theater systems, DVD,LD,CD,VCD library and multimedia. We became the backstage of showbiz.
In 1986, when the video casssette industry was in its nascent stages, we were the first to realise the importance of sourcing , buying and distributing video rights of feature films and steadily amassed a treasure-trove of films titles. Even today, our Hindi/Indian film title library is considered to be the most comprehensive in India.
In pursuance of global vision, we tied up as a joint venture with Sony Entertainment Television. Proving once again that we have the power to think beyond boundaries. And the courage to translate vision into reality.
